For as long as I can remember I have had a major crush on Vintage rugs, they have been gracing us with their presence in feeds across the globe for a while now but there is just one problem….. MY BUDGET!
When I first began browsing there wasn’t an affordable vintage rug in sight and for the longest time, I have gone on thinking that I would never have one because let’s face it, I could never drop $1000 bucks on a small rug.
If you have ever tried pricing some of the options out there then you know that one small rug can literally cost an arm, leg and most likely your big toe.
So once we decided we would be redoing our entryway I knew it was time for the hunt to begin because I wanted one dang it and come hell or high water I was going to find one!
After several days of looking, I decided enough was enough and there had to be someone out there selling affordable vintage rugs and just so happens I found several!
Honestly, I was very tempted to keep this vintage goodness a secret but I wanted to share it with you guys so that you too could make your vintage dreams come true, even on a budget.
After tons of research, reading every review I could find, and having my own purchasing experience. I am finally confident this is for real and I feel good recommending them to you.
First, let us define vintage so you know what you will be receiving if you decide to purchase from one of the sellers below.
The term Vintage when pertaining to rugs is used to describe rugs that were produced during the mid-twentieth century through the 1970’s. For more information about the term click here.

So no matter what if you purchase a vintage rug be aware this will not be a brand new rug. They are used an typically cleaned before purchase.
All but one of the shops are on Etsy and if I am being honest Etsy is one of my go-to options when it comes to home decor.
Now if you were to set out on a vintage rug hunt all by yourself let me warn you, it can take lots of digging through tons of high-priced options to find that diamond in the rough or perfectly priced shop. Lucky for you guys I have already done tons of legwork for you.
Where To Buy Affordable Vintage Rugs
Boho Flea Market: This Etsy store is one of my favorites and is the one I chose for our vintage rug. The thing that instantly drew me into this shop was, of course, the pricing. They have a wide selection of one of a kind vintage rugs and the shipping was almost immediate. I ordered on a Thursday and it delivered the following Monday! From Turkey Y’all, isn’t that insane?
Urban Rug: This shop is actually in Virginia Beach, Virginia so I am sure shipping may be faster. I know several people that have personally bought from this shop and each had no complaints. Plus it has over 160 five-star reviews, which is amazing. If you feel more comfortable ordering from the United States then this is probably the best option. They also have hundreds of options and each rug is one of a kind.
Homestead Seattle: This shop has nearly two hundred five-star reviews and after combing through their products I have to say I am impressed with the pricing. They have everything from 3×6 runners to 8×10 area rugs and I love the fact that they have a very wide range of color options to choose from.
EFES RUGS: Before I found my one true vintage love I was ready to hit the buy button on several options from this store. Like the others, it has nothing but five-star reviews and tons of one of a kind rugs. It is located in Turkey and honestly, I believe you cut out the middleman by ordering directly from the source. Which is most likely why there is a price difference. If I had to wager I would bet that most of the shops here in the states are ordering direct from Turkey. This is just my opinion I do not have scientific proof of this.
RugEmporium240: If you would rather take a chance on getting a vintage rug even cheaper than the options listed above you can try out this ebay seller. They typically always start their rugs out at 0.99 cents! Most do not sell that cheap obviously but it is a great way to walk away with a one of a kind rug at a decent price. They have a wide variety of colors and sizes and had I known about them before I fell in love with mine I may have tried my hand at bidding.
There you have it, this is a prime example of the wonderful items you can find even when the budget is tight, you just have to be willing to dig for it.
Our entryway is nearly complete and I honestly cannot wait to show you guys the finished product. We deviated a little from our original design plans but hey it happens. The most exciting thing for me is the fact that our vintage beauty will be front and center anytime someone steps through our door, talk about a good first impression!
