Christmas is right around the corner and for us home lovers you know what that means!!
Time to break out those Christmas trees and twinkle lights, if you’re anything like me this is something you’ve been waiting for pretty much all year and you are ready to make “all the things” Christmas ready (if you haven’t already).
Last year was the first year we took a minimal approach to Christmas when it came to our tree and although having a glam gold and white Christmas was fun, this year I’m taking it back to my roots and going more traditional.
Thank goodness not only has our home improved since then but my photography skills as well! (You can check out last years tree here)
It is no secret that decorating for Christmas can quickly get out of hand as far as finances go and listen I know that some are just not able to go crazy with Christmas decor and buy for their families too which is totally understandable.
As a matter of fact, not too long ago the best that I could come up with for Christmas decor was hand me down decorations on a hand me down Walmart tree and let me be the first to tell you that you can still make it look like a million bucks with just a few tweaks here and there.
Plus at the end of the day, Christmas is not about decorations or the best gifts and keeping that in perspective is something we should all strive for.

Last year I spent most of the season trying to hunt down the perfect 9ft flocked Christmas tree that didn’t cost an arm and a leg (which wasn’t easy) but I was finally about to find this one that we love, I’m also showing a little sneak peek of what Christmas is going to look like at our house in the photos above! I started decorating really early compared to past years, mostly because I want to be able to enjoy time with the family instead of decorating while they hang out.
So to make things a little bit easier for you so that you can do the same I’ve rounded up tons of items from Christmas Trees, Tree collars, stockings and ornament kits that will take the guesswork out of decorating your tree.
I have spent countless hours perusing the newest Christmas decor so if there is something you are looking for that I didn’t touch on let me know in the comments and I’ll do my best to add it to the list.

Overall when decorating for Christmas remember you don’t have to spend a ton of money to get a designer look. You can create a cozy Christmas feel by adding lots of texture and ambiance plus Christmas isn’t about having the best-looking house or most expensive Christmas tree, its about celebrating the birth of Jesus and spending time with the ones you love so have fun and don’t make it too complicated.

Sometimes the hand me downs have the most memories. (Except that silver Pom Pom tree with the rotating color wheel from my childhood…..). I found a bucket of 100 round ornaments in all sizes (some glittery) at Craft store for $10. Made ornament “clusters” with floral wire and filled in the bare spots on the tree.
Love your projects! You’ve given me sooo many ideas.

Barbara yes they do and it is so nice seeing all of those old ornaments and things like my grandma’s old train set that she handed down to me a few years ago. Christmas was always such a magical time for us as kids and I am so grateful for that and want to give our children the same thing. The ornament clusters you made sound gorgeous and what a wonderful idea! Thank you I am so glad you find the projects we do inspiring.
