Welcome to this week’s Friday Favorites! Where I discuss things from the week that I love or have inspired me in some way. This week has been all about the end of the school year around our house and Wednesday our youngest had her awards ceremony which was awesome, she received three awards and we are super proud of her!
Last week I mentioned to you guys that we had a buyer for our brown sofa, so just a quick update. Everything went off without a hitch and the couple just closed on a new home and had actually fallen in love with it at the store but didn’t want to spend that much so they took to Craigslist and bam there was our set! Talk about meant to be, right?
Let me just say if you are thinking of selling your furniture it is probably a great idea to have something in mind beforehand so you’re not sitting on two wingback chairs placed beside each other pretending it’s a sofa! Horrible idea folks, by the end of the night my a** hurt so bad that I would have been happy with anything in the space as long as it wasn’t those chairs.
So on Sunday, we began the dreaded furniture store hop and after four hours and four stores somehow we ended up sitting in a random parking lot for almost twenty minutes trying to decide what we should do. We tossed so many ideas around my head was spinning but we finally decided on one by Bernhardt. We went back to the first store we started at and purchased our new sofa, somehow I completely talked myself into thinking we needed the loveseat instead of two recliners but I have since come to my senses and we will be adding two gorgeous tufted recliners.
Now I can focus on other things without constantly thinking that no matter what I do if that living room is still brown it is going to screw up everything! Let’s just say it was a giant weight lifted off my shoulders and I will sleep better at night 🙂
This week I found so many beautiful items for the list and I hope you all enjoy it. I am trying out a different look for the Friday Favorites, it looks a lot cleaner to me and not as busy. Hope you like it.

Winston Wingback Chair: This is hands down my favorite wingback in existence. I am a total sucker for Tufts and the nailheads are just the icing on my wingback cake. Most of the time chairs of this type are pretty expensive but this one is priced really well and a set of them would look gorgeous at a dining table. (If they reclined I would all over them)
Lantieri Chandelier: This chandelier has got it all! The natural color is perfect if you’re looking to add another element to your space and I absolutely love the wood beads! You could use this in any style space and it would look amazing!
Marble Board: Lately I have been removing things from our kitchen every time I clean up after dinner. I don’t know why but it seems we just continually accumulate all kinds of counter clutter and it drives me insane. Nothing makes your kitchen look messier than the counters being stacked with junk. Mail, electronics, you name it and I guarantee you it’s on our counter. I want to replace the clutter with pretty cutting boards leaning against the wall and a pretty utensil holder. This cutting board is gorgeous and I love the two-tone look it has.
Buffalo Check & Pink Pillow: Since we got a new sofa I figured it would only make sense for me to start looking for new pillows! It excites me so very much that these will go with our new sofa amazingly well. The pink probably won’t fly with the mister but I promise you if I lived alone I would totally do it! I love the mixture of navy and pink together and these are from a store I have personally purchased from and the quality is perfect. They have pretty great prices as well. I will say if you plan to buy make sure you read the entire listing because sometimes they are out of stock and it does not tell you other than the print at the bottom of the website which you may not see until after you purchase.
Pink & Gray Rug: Target has totally stepped up their rug game lately. There have been tons of gorgeous rugs on their website and most of them are very affordable. What I love about Target is the fact that they usually always have sales on their home goods and if you make a habit of checking often you can snag that item you have been eyeballing at a great price. This rug only has a couple of size options but the style is totally in right now and it would look fabulous in a white kitchen or even layered on top of a jute rug.
Today kicks off the start of the long awaited Memorial Day weekend! I am totally doing a happy dance, even though my weekend will most likely be spent catching up on our never ending to-do list, hopefully I will still be able to enjoy some down time in there somewhere. Enjoy the weekend guys and also don’t forget to pin the image below 🙂
