Happy Friday sweet friends! Welcome to this week’s Friday Favorites where I discuss things from the week that I love or have inspired me in some way. Last week I took a few mini vacation days and they flew by so fast before I knew it was Tuesday morning and let me tell you 5:30 am came early for this girl. Since the kids arrived we have spent our days at the water park, going to recitals, lounging around watching tv and I can’t tell you how amazing it has been.
Our town has a new Center for the residents that includes a huge water park, full gym, indoor track, full-size basketball courts, a dog park, outdoor track and a pond! Which is so exciting for us since now we won’t have to drive across town and pay a small fortune just to enjoy some summertime fun. We pay one small monthly fee and the entire family is included. So you know where we will be spending most of our summer!
If you missed our Modern Coastal Boys Room Reveal on Tuesday you can see the full post here. Jon really seems to love his new room, so much so he has even been making his bed and karate chopping his pillows! 🙂 Which totally made my momma heart happy, especially since this momma loves to chop!
Speaking of pillows last week when the pillows came in for his room I took a few shots of them on our new sofa, just to see what it would look like styled and I couldn’t be more in love! I couldn’t resist including one of the photos, so let me know what you guys think. Next week you could be reading about the mysterious case of the missing pillows! 🙂
Honestly, I was so nervous about his room, more so than any of the others we have done because I wanted it to be perfect and due to that I ended up keeping things more understated than I normally would have but overall I love the way it turned out and how clean it looks. Why is it I can do girly all day long but the moment I have to do something more masculine I freeze and constantly second guess myself!
These weeks Friday Favorites list is totally inspired by all of the living room decor and ideas I have had on the brain lately. I’m not sure why but as soon as we finish a project I immediately start itching to do another! Even though I am literally burnt out on all the painting… Like to the point that I never want to paint again! Which we all know isn’t realistic but for some reason when we finish a space it gives me this jolt and for a split second, I forget about how tired I am or the fact that we just finished a space and we are in dire need of a break! Then before I know it we’re off to the races again and onto the next room! Hmmm, maybe I need an intervention?

Spindle End Table: We currently have square end tables and I am loving the look of all of the round options for our new space. There are so many different styles to choose from and I couldn’t love this spindle style more! The lighter stain is actually just the look we will be going for after years of extremely dark wood and browns furniture everywhere. We may even end up with gold end tables because I have been eyeing those as well but this one is a definite contender.
Marival Rug: This fuchsia rug is an absolute dream, you guys! Nothing would make me happier than the hubs agreeing to a bright fuchsia rug with navy decor accents in our living room. The odds of that happening are very slim so I am thinking this one would look great in Gracie’s room.
Faux Bay leaf tree: If you have a black thumb like I typically do (minus my gorgeous fiddle leaf figs) then going faux is a great way to add greenery to your home without worrying you’re going to kill something and have it end up being a total waste of money. This one comes in at a great price and could easily be thrown in a basket to dress it up.
Shiloh Throw Pillow: Nothing is more popular right now in the home decor realm than shibori, which is a Japanese art of tie dye. These pillows look amazing when mixed with florals and honestly you can never have too many throw pillows. This one has a nice zippered cover as well which makes changing things around very easy.
Fade Framed Art: This wall art stands out to me and I love the different shades of blue and white. You could easily liven up any area of your home with art pieces and it doesn’t have to cost a ton to do it. The key is finding items that you are drawn to, even if you have never purchased abstract pieces in the past I promise there is one out there that will speak to you.
This weekend we plan on enjoying some family time with the kiddos and relaxing a bit. On Saturday we are having family photos taken which I am totally excited about. It is so hard to get everyone together at one time and we have been putting it off waiting for the perfect time. After several years of that, we finally decided the perfect time is now and no matter what we want to capture these moments because our children are growing up right before our eyes! Have a wonderful weekend everyone and don’t forget to show some love and pin the image below!

Okay, now I’m DYING to see your living room reveal lol! On another note, love that rug! You might be surprised, once I snuck a little bit of pink in our house and the boys saw how good it looked, they are now totally fine with it! Great finds as usual Ashley!
