Welcome to this week’s Friday Favorites! Where I discuss things from the week that I love or have inspired me in some way. This month has been huge for PAD because we have gained so many new followers, which pretty much makes me the happiest person ever! So if this is you, welcome and thank you for being a part of PAD! Knowing that all of the hard work I put into this each and every week is being noticed is all that I could hope for and I couldn’t be more excited about the new friendships and sense of community that we are creating here.
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend and were able to spend some time with the ones you love. You probably noticed that I took Tuesday off from our regular posting schedule to spend some time with my family. We took it easy most of the weekend since we have a wounded child, talk about bad timing for stitches. Jonathon’s foot is healing nicely though and the stitches should be removed in the next few days so he will be back to normal in no time but our girls have been going a bit stir crazy with all this down time.
We did go watch the fireworks show our city puts on every year and it did not disappoint. The kiddos were even able to go for a helicopter ride which was very exciting for them but not so much for me. Honestly, I tried to remain calm but the moment that the helicopter lifted up off of the ground my stomach began to turn, like any mother I assume. It was an experience they will never forget and I am glad they were able to enjoy it together.
As most of you know we have one child in the home and three children that live halfway across the country which makes visiting very difficult. Therefore we are only able to get them during the summer which isn’t nearly long enough.
Over the past few weeks, we have really been trying to enjoy every second we have with our children because as usual the date we have all been dreading has crept up on us and we will have to put Jess on a plane back home this weekend. Our son will be staying with us and going to school here so that is exciting but it doesn’t make it any easier to put her on a plane knowing it will be 9-10 months before we are able to see her sweet face in person again. To say the situation is difficult is an understatement but we do try to make the best of it and enjoy the time we have.
So next week will be the first week we spend as a new ” live in” family of four instead of three. So far things have been great but we have been going so much that things really haven’t been “normal” yet. Hopefully, we can spend next week working on our routine and settling into the changes this will bring for us all.
Without further ado here is this week’s Friday Favorites! Several of these items are on my immediate list of things to buy and one of them is even on its way now because I couldn’t help myself 🙂

Luann Wingback Chair: I absolutely love the shape of this chair and the open bottom. This more modern/retro style is trending big time right now and the price on this one is great for a wingback.
Gladys Sputnik Chandelier: One of my favorite dining rooms in the history of ever has a Sputnik similar to this one centered over the dining room table. I love the style and you guys know that brass is my favorite!
Morning Away: This art print is probably my absolute favorite item on this week’s list. The colors are so beautiful and it comes in sizes as small as 5×7 or as large as 60×44! You can even purchase it framed or unframed if you own a frame you would like to use. The prices are great and I never get tired of looking at this piece.
Sunburst Mirror: I love this mirror and the fact that you can knock out to elements of design with this one piece. First the decor piece then the natural wood element which adds another layer to the space. Mirrors like this one are always a great way to make a statement!
Ginger Jar Tray: Since my style has changed over the years my go to colors are blue and white then they added the icing on the tray cake with that brass inlay on the top. The price on this was too amazing to pass up and this little baby is on its way home to momma! 🙂
This weekend I plan on working on a few projects I have going and hopefully get our house back in order. Enjoy the weekend and remember to show some love by pinning the image below!
