Welcome to this week’s Friday Favorites, Where I discuss things from the week that I love or have inspired me in some way. This week has been absolutely amazing for this blog and for me. After last week’s Friday Favorites post I have received so many emails from my readers, sharing your stories and struggles when it comes to decorating your own home. The fact that you all took time out of your day to reach out to me made me so very happy and I cannot begin to tell you how very much I relate to each and every one of you. We share some of the same struggles and some of you are at the exact point that I am right now. It feels so good to know you are not alone and there is a community of like minded people willing to help along the way.
Over the weekend I was so happy to learn that our Fall Master Bedroom Update had been featured on LikeToKnowIt.Home. In no way am I tooting my own horn but it was so exciting to learn that all of the hard work I have done is being recognized, no matter how big or small the way.
Blogging in itself is usually more work than a full-time job, completing the actual project, there are photos that have to be taken and edited, writing the post, creating social media graphics, promoting the post on social media and these tasks can take hours. So those little moments are what makes it all worthwhile for me and I just want to say thank you! It is so rewarding knowing that what I do is helping someone so thank you.
Last weekend we were able to get away for a few days and go to one of my favorite places… The lake! It is so gorgeous there and honestly, I am not sure what it is but something about the place just makes me forget about all my stress and troubles. It is the one place that I can totally decompress and to say I needed some decompression is an understatement.
Also, I was able to spend some time brainstorming about the projects I would like to tackle next and I have a few things in mind that I know you will love and will really make a huge impact on our home. Sometimes when I am feeling stuck on a project (our living room) it is best for me to just step away and work on something else for a bit to clear my head. You would be surprised the ideas that will randomly pop up when you stop thinking so hard and then like magic, the problem or issue is solved.
This week’s Friday favorites was inspired by some of the 2017 home decor predictions one of which was deep green and blush decor!
Cascade Harbor: This art print is a gorgeous mix of two of falls hottest colors, deep green and blush. It would no doubt be the star of any space and I love how subtle the pinks and greens are.
Gulvason Scone: This sconce has been featured before but I couldn’t resist using it with the above print. I think the two would look amazing paired together. Placing swing arm sconces above artwork, flanking a sofa or anywhere for that matter brings in an extra touch of character to your home and gives it a much more upscale and thought out look.
Avil Coffee Table: Since we purchased our new sofa I have been aimlessly searching for a new ottoman/coffee table. If you read this weeks post on how to style a coffee table then you know we are very much Ottoman people. We love being comfy and there is no reason you cannot have a beautiful space that is also comfortable for you and your family. Also, I love the brass detailing and the navy leather top you can never go wrong mixing navy and brass.
Brighton Rug: Cowhide rugs are the type of rugs that look stunning layered over another rug. You can use a faux cowhide almost anywhere and it will look amazing. I have seen them everywhere from a nursery to the living and I don’t see them going out of style anytime soon.
Claire Lamp: Just to amp up the style factor of this collection I had to throw this pop of green in the mix. Green is so hot this season and I think it will be sticking around for a long while. Lately, I have seen deep hunter green in lots of kitchens and in accessories. These lamps definitely make a huge statement and they are priced very well.
I hope you enjoyed this week’s collection and I look forward to seeing you back here next Tuesday. This weekend we are going to play catch up around the house after being out of town two weekends in a row… Can you say laundry? Saturday is the big Mayweather McGregor fight for those of you that might watch MMA, I know what we will be doing that day. 🙂

Great selections as usual! I almost bought that Claire lamp in green for our master- it is soooo beautiful. That green- love it! I’m so excited to see green coming back around, especially paired with blush, which I really love and already use a lot of! Also just wanted to tell you that I am so inspired by how you share so much on your blog. That is something that I really struggle with and need to improve on. You are such an inspiration!

Beth I have no idea why but I’m just now seeing this 🙁 thank you so much for your sweet comments you are such a great friend! Really? Sometimes I wonder if I overshare like do people even care to know some of this stuff? I’m trying to stay true to myself and my family is what that consists of mostly. I have contemplated scaling back on the life talk a time or two.
