Often we don’t think of adding new lighting immediately but it really should be one of the first things on the list before you begin decorating. One of the best ways to update a builder grade home is to add wall sconces. It instantly makes the home look custom and gives it character. So today I am going to show you some Modern Wall Sconces For Any Budget.
In our home, we have a living area that has one massive wall that the sofa has to sit on due to the rectangle layout and due to the wall being so large it is often hard to decorate. It just seems like nothing we choose is ever right, I continually ask myself is it big enough, does it cover too much of the wall, should I decorate the sides as well, you get my drift?
After several years in our home and living with the wall completely bare after painting I have decided to go with a grid style gallery wall centered over the sofa but I wanted to add something extra to the space to make it feel more custom and not so bare.
So after looking at tons of frame options and finally deciding to go with brass, I knew I wanted to add some swing arm sconces above the grid to really set things off.
Once I started the hunt I could not believe how many gorgeous options there were! Some of these options are downright fancy and this is the perfect way to add a little something extra.
Rather you are looking for sconce options for the bathroom flanking the vanity, over a gallery wall, inside a window seat or even just some extra lighting in the entryway there are definitely options for every budget!
Changing out the lighting is one of the number one ways to take a dated house and give it a more modern look, but taking it a step further and adding custom sconces will totally take your home up a notch.

This collection literally has something for every style home and the price options are endless. We have gone with the Gulvason swing arm sconce for above the grid style gallery wall and I couldn’t be more excited to see how it turns out. We have yet to nail down if we will do color photos or black and white in the frames, I keep changing my mind from one day to the next but this is a project I hope to have finished up fairly quickly.
When we started I thought I would have our living area knocked out in a month at the most, that was several months ago and though we are much closer now than we have ever been I still feel like I have a million things to do before we can call it complete. So from now until the end of November, I plan on getting as much done as possible and I am hoping to have a majority of it wrapped up very soon.
I hope this post has inspired you and made you think about where you could add sconces to bring a little dose of modern into your home. If you enjoyed this post, please pin the image below.
